The Anti-D (Rh) Antibody Titre test measures the concentration of antibodies against the Rh(D) antigen in the blood. It is primarily used in pregnancy to monitor Rh incompatibility, which can lead to hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN). This test is also performed in transfusion medicine to ensure compatibility and prevent hemolytic transfusion reactions. Regular monitoring of antibody levels guides clinical management, including the need for Rh immunoglobulin (RhIg) therapy.
