The 24 Hours Urine Protein test measures the total amount of protein excreted in the urine over a 24-hour period, providing critical insights into kidney function and potential renal disorders. This assessment helps detect conditions such as nephrotic syndrome, chronic kidney disease, and diabetic nephropathy by identifying abnormal protein loss. It is often used alongside serum tests to monitor disease progression and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
