Description

Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) is a technique used to measure the concentration of metals in a sample. The sample is atomized in a flame or furnace, and the atoms absorb light at specific wavelengths. The amount of light absorbed tells us how much of that metal is present.

• Volume Required: 5g


• Nature of Sample: Powder


• Packaging Instructions: Liquid samples: 5 mL per analysis — send in airtight bottles (PET/sample bottles).
  
  Solid samples: 2 g per analysis — send in zip-lock bags or airtight containers.
  
  Label samples clearly using paper tape/marker (max 3 words).
  
  Secure all samples together in a sealed bag before transport.
  
  On the bag/envelope write:
  “Analysis Africa – Receiver: Madison, +234 707 626 4235” then the address of the chosen collection center.
