Test overview
CA-125 (cancer antigen 125) is a high–molecular-weight glycoprotein measured in serum by immunoassay. Originally identified as a marker for epithelial ovarian carcinoma, CA-125 is now used to assist in diagnosis, monitor therapy, and detect recurrence in gynecologic and select non-gynecologic malignancies.
